COLOR BOY
COLOR BOY
A mysterious monochrome puzzle game that feels like a forgotten Game Boy cartridge from 1992.
You are not matching colors.
You are manipulating energy states.
Every tile exists in one of three states:
DARK · MID · LIGHT
Move blocks around the grid, combine energy states, trigger chain reactions, and transform the board until it matches the target.
ENERGY MIXING
Different energy states interact in different ways:
DARK + LIGHT → MID MID + MID → LIGHT
The full puzzle system is deterministic, so every move matters. Plan ahead, experiment, undo mistakes, and discover the intended solution.

THE IDEA
Each puzzle is a tiny logic problem.
You see the target.
You study the grid.
You make a move.
The energy changes.
A chain reaction begins.
And suddenly the move you made three turns ago matters.
CONTROLS
Arrow Keys — Move Z — A / Confirm X — B / Undo Enter — Start / Pause Shift — Restart
A LOST CARTRIDGE?
COLOR BOY is designed to feel like the kind of small, elegant puzzle game that could have appeared on a monochrome handheld in the early 1990s.
Minimal controls. Simple rules. Surprisingly deep puzzles.
What happens when you combine these two?
That's the game.
